With regret we inform you that Mr. Morris Walker Jr. of Ridgeville, SC entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 28, 2022; those of his relatives and friends are invited to attend his Homegoing Services on Thursday, March 10, 2022; 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home; Interment Christ Deliverance Church Cemetery, Ridgeville, SC; viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022; 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Simmons, Laureen "Chatty"

With regret inform you that Mrs. Laureen "Chatty" Simmons of Moncks Corner entered into eternal rest on February 5, 2022; those of her relatives and friends are invited to attend her Homegoing Services on Sunday, February 13, 2022; 4:00 P.M. at Greater St. James AME Church, Summerville, SC; viewing will be 1 hour prior to service. The relatives and friends of Mr. Edward "Dixie" Smith, Sr. of Summerville, SC entered into eternal rest on January 22, 2022; invite you to attend his viewing and visitation Friday, January 28, 2022; from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Homegoing Service on Saturday, January 29, 2022; 11:00 A.M. at Refuge Bibleway Church, Summerville, SC; Interment, Hillcrest Cemetery, Summerville, SC. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his wife the late Patricia Bennett Smith; parents, Mr. William David and Channie Clay Profit Smith; sibling, Private First Class William Thomas Smith, Pamela A. Smith, Barbara A. Smith McBride, and an infant baby sister. He is survived by his son, Edward Lee Smith, Jr., his grandson Edward Lee Smith, III, siblings, Furman Smith, Elaine (Edward) Bryant, Jestine (Harold) Tucker, Maggie (Sinclair) Tucker, and Rosalyn Carson, a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and friends.

 

Palmer, Janie Lee

With regret we inform you that Ms. Janie Palmer of Goose Creek, SC entered into eternal rest on February 6, 2022; the beloved daughter of Ms. Lillie Mae Palmer; mother of Sharon Elliott, Willie Palmer, and Walter Palmer; grandmother of Kamari Palmer; are invited to attend her viewing and visitation on February 11, 2022; 5-7 P.M.; Homegoing Services February 12, 2022; 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home; Interment Johnson Cemetery, North Charleston, SC.

Cockrell, Reatha B.

Reatha B. Cockrell, 87, gained her heavenly wings on December 19, 2021.  The family announces her celebration of life services which will be held on Friday, December 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Sounds of Praise, 351 Greyback Road, Summerville, SC 29483.  Interment: Sharon Cemetery located in, Ridgeville, South Carolina.  The daughter of the late Eugene and Vera Bolger.   She is survived by her children Tyrone (Dorothy)Kitt, Vera (Roland) Felder, Octavia (Ronnie) Bennett, Trina (Tillman III) Millhouse all of Summerville, South Carolina and Nellie (Stacy) Worley of Dayton, Ohio, Kevin (Corrine) Cockrell of Silver Springs, Maryland.  One brother-in-law Cornell Harrison. As well as her 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.  Viewing will be on Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 p.m.at the funeral home.
